Criminal Defense Investigations

The limited facts that lead to an arrest and criminal charges rarely represent all the facts that need to be known to provide an adequate defense. The defendant charged with a crime will significantly benefit from a competent investigation.

We will coordinate with the Attorney to design and implement a successful investigation strategy. We provide the following services, and others to support that strategy;

Conduct a thorough investigative review of the state's case

Conduct interviews with the defendant, victim/complaining witness, and other witnesses

Conduct an examination of the crime scene to sketch, photograph, and document the scene and compare our findings to the state's case.

Conduct background investigations of the defendant, victim, complaining witness, witnesses, and, if necessary, jurors.

Conduct Social Media Investigations and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigations

Conduct both physical and "electronic canvassing" (Matt Spaier, 2018) of areas around the crime scene to locate otherwise unknown witnesses and video surveillance*

Conduct witness locates, interviews, and take statements.

We will investigate leads that are generated from all of the above services to provide all the facts at issue enabling the attorney to prepare for the best possible defense for their client.
